Hugo was born in Yorkshire and after a decade in film development and production in London and New York returned to Leeds where he executive produced over 75 film and television productions such as OFFICIAL SECRETS, THIS IS ENGLAND and PEAKY BLINDERS.
He is currently a Senior Portfolio Manager in the Indie Growth Fund at Channel 4, where he works closely with seven companies in the portfolio.
Hugo is responsible for the operational and financial management of Storypunk, and oversees business strategy and tech development. With 30 years of script development and production experience, he also contributes to Storypunk’s projects and methodology.
If there is one film he helped get made that defines the combination of risk-taking and brilliant storytelling he looks for, it’s Mike White and Miguel Arteta’s CHUCK AND BUCK. Ironically, it’s the only film not on his resume..
