Bec Boey
Associate Creative Director
Bec is a screenwriter, actor and activist of Malaysian Chinese and Geordie heritage, working in film and television.
She has a horror feature in development with the BFI and a comedy commission from the BBC.
Her folk horror stop motion short STONES premiered at London International Animation Festival and is currently on its festival circuit. Her comedy web series JADE DRAGON can be watched here.
She sits on the Writers Guild Great Britain Television Committee and its Equality and Diversity Committee, and is a founding member of the activist group BEATS (British East Asians in Theatre and Screen).
As Associate Creative Director of Storypunk, she is responsible for the creative direction of the company, running writers rooms, and bringing in exciting new writers.
